Mandatory Building Inpsection Scheme and Mandatory Window Inspection Scheme

Under the current legislation, the Buildings Department may serve statutory notices to owners of buildings aged 30 years or above to carry out inspections under the Mandatory Building Inspection Scheme (MBIS) and owners of buildings aged 10 years or above to carry out inspections to windows under the Mandatory Window Inspection Scheme (MWIS). Our office provides Registered Inspectors (RI) for MBIS and Qualified Person (QP) for MWIS, recognized by the Buildings Department, to carry out the prescribed inspections and supervised the prescribed repair works if found necessary.
